Gib Compton, President


Gib Compton received a degree in Construction Science from Kansas State University in 1980. Over the last twenty-four years, he has gained field experience as a Field Engineer and Project Superintendent. His office experience was gained through the ranks as estimator, project manager and operations positions. His work experience includes water and wastewater facilities, utilities, both private and highway paving, and various types of commercial facilities including educational, industrial, religious, retail, medical and food service. Compton Construction Corporation began operations in 1997.

Adam Doll, Estimator / Project Manager

Adam Doll is a native of Wichita, KS and a high school graduate of Trinity Academy.  He received his Construction Science degree in 2004 from Kansas State University.  Adam joined the staff of Compton Construction Corporation as a Project Manager / Estimator in August of 2008.  He brings to the company several years of field experience in both commercial and residential construction with expertise in the area of framing.  During college, Adam worked under a residential contractor doing framing and trim work.  After college, Adam worked for a local commercial contractor as Field Superintendent on the remodel of the Heart Hospital located in Wichita.  Adam also has estimating experience for local residentail builders.  Prior to joing Compton Construction Corporation, Adam started his own framing company called Dianmond D Builder's with his brother.  Their focus was on residential framing.  Adam is married with two children.  He enjoys woodworking projects in his spare time.

Chris Jackson, Estimator / Project Manager

Chris Jackson joined Compton Construction in January of 2010 as an Estimator/ Project Manager.  He is orignally from Valley Center.  Chris is a December 2009 graduate from Kansas State University with a major in Construction Science Management (CNS) and a minor in Business.  During college, he learned that he wanted a career working with his hands vs. the world of finance.  While at K-State, Chris gained field experience working as an independent residential and commercial contractor where carpentry was his favorite work.  Chris has earned a reputation for his work ethic in winning the Outstanding CNS Senior of the Year award, Open House Chairman and participating and placing 3rd in the ASC team competition.  His current outside interests include:  hunting, gardening, brewing and a wedding date set for the end of July.

Rita Kennedy, Accounting / Office Administrator

Rita joined the office staff of Compton Construction in August 2007. She is originally from Derby, KS, but is a graduate of Garden City High School. After graduation she moved back to Wichita and completed her Associates Degree from Cowley County Junior College in general education. Rita started working at the age of thirteen for Sonic. Her professional accounting experience includes: Mid-America Ag Network, S.S. Express Sanitation Services, and North Star Automotive Glass. Rita is married and has one son, two daughters and two granddaughters. Her hobbies involve watching her son play whatever sport is in season: football, basketball and baseball and just spend time with her family. When asked what is different about accounting in the construction field, Rita replied, "the attention to detail".

Cindy Sutton/ Adminstative Assistant

Cindy has returned to Compton Construction Corporation.  She is a native of Augusta, KS and a graduate of Augusta High School.  Cindy and her husband Eddie have five children.  They have lived in Texas and Mississippi prior to returning to Augusta in 2005 after their experience with Hurricane Katrina.  Cindy's hobbies include photography and creating computer video's set to music.
